San Diego/ Phoenix Vacation
We just got back from our HUGE roadtrip! We drove to Las Vegas the first night and stayed in the "castle", which James loved. We then stayed in San Diego for a few days and enjoyed Olivia's baby blessing, visiting family, the beach, and Sea World. Brent's brother, Brian met us in San Diego for the blessing and then drove back with us to his home in Phoenix. We had a wonderful time staying with Brian, Cadi, and kids. I really enjoyed hanging out with Cadi, shopping, and controlling the Tivo...they had BBC America!! Finally, we headed back and stopped in Page, AZ for a night and in to see my mom on our way home. I am most happy to report that we had a wonderful time and there were no "episodes". I LOVE to travel, but I usually have at least one "episode" on a vacation. Most involve violent crying and some freak out moment. Cadi asked me on the first day if I was going to survive the week without an "episode" and I'm happy to report that I made it!

In my family we call those moments "meltdowns" on vacation. Always an adventure!!
I am so jealous. I want to go to San Diego soooo bad. In our family, we call "episodes" "The Home Depot special." (Because the biggest meltdown happened to be in home depot.) As hard as I try to forget that moment, I can't
Sure looks like fun!
Looks like you had a wonderful time. our kids are dying to go to California. pacie said she's ready to hit the beach. (I think it's because we bought her a beach Ken doll to replace the one-legged, no pant variety she's been playing with lately!) Anyway, glad there were no "boots candy shopping break" worthy moments! :)
