Valentine's Day

We decided to get doughnuts for Valentine's Day morning. I would like to say that this was a special occasion, but it seems we actually get donuts (I like this spelling much better-correct or not!) about every other week in our house. The boys like to eat off all of the frosting and throw away the rest. Gross as it is, it is turning into a family tradition...scary!

Brent's Birthday

Brent turns 32! This is exciting because we are the same age for about 6 months until I get older again. His mom made him his favorite Chocolate pie and I made him a cake about a week later. Brent is such a great husband and Dad. We are all such big fans of his!

Friends

In January, I was able to go back home and visit my old college rommies. I had so much fun. We have mostly boys between us and they had a great time playing together. I love these girls! I had such a fun time during school with them. It was great to get together and talk about the old days!

I also got to visit my friend Shawna. We've been friends since we were both 5ish. She just had a baby who is so adorable and sweet. I was glad to finally get to meet him and visit with her too!

Experience Tag

From my sister-in-law Sally

So, I used to be really good at this get-to-know-you game where you have to say a statement like, “I’ve never been skiing.” If the others in the group had been skiing then they had to give you their game piece. Well, I used to win it all the time because I hadn’t done anything exciting in life. I can't say it is a great game to win! I was glad to see that I’ve improved a little since then! (With the exception of still not having a cell phone!)

Phoenix Wrap-up

Brigham and Sally took us to an amazing park before we headed home. The kids had a great time playing. They had separate play areas for different ages and abilities. I wish we had something more like that here at home. We finished our day off with a train ride in the park too, which was a lot of fun for everyone!
