Work Christmas Party

We had a great Christmas party this year! It is becoming our family tradition to have one of our children scream bloody murder when he meets Santa. This year it was Mr. William...the last two years it was James. It is a toss up for next year!

Eclipse

And the winner is...Eclipse!!! Twilight...good; New Moon...better; Eclipse...BEST!! I could not put this one down and really loved it. I am sad that it is all over now. If you haven't read them yet, you need to start!

Piano Recital

I just had my first piano recital as a teacher last weekend. (These guys didn't get to participate in it just yet). I have 5 students right now and think that keeps me busy enough. They all did so well. I held it at the piano gallery, which allowed them to play on grand pianos on a stage. It was pretty fun for me!

The Parenting Breakthrough

Okay, I'm on a little reading kick right now. I go through one about twice a year. This book had some great suggestions on how to teach your kids how to work. It includes ideas for how to manage allowances, chores, and teach kids to be more independent. I would recommend it if you have a 5 yr old or older. I'll reread it in a few years.

New Moon

I decided to post some books that I have been reading as I finish them. I just finished New Moon and liked it better than Twilight. If you can tap into your dramatic, adolescent side then you will love them!

Weeyam's Yummy Yunch!

William is so much fun! He is so happy and sweet. We've nicknamed him Mr. Sunshine because he is happy most of the time and smiles a lot. He is just about walking and loves chasing after James. He'll love it more when he can keep up!

It is Christmas in Disneyland!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We drove to California and spent Thanksgiving in San Diego with Brent's family. The kids did really well on the drive, which was so nice, with the exception of James who watched Scooby Doo and the Monster of Mexico over and over despite having a variety of other movies to choose from. (Scary Scooby Doo Fact: The word Chupacabra is said 38 times in the movie!) We had a great time with family and really loved spending Christmas in Disneyland. The park is decorated for the holiday and some of the rides are decorated too. We bought an itinerary from ridemax.com which gave us specific times to ride each ride to spend the least amount of time in line. We loved it and will do it again.

James turns 3!

James had a great birthday. Brent and I can't believe that he is three already! He especially loved the presents...he takes after me!

I needed to get some work done so I let the boys play with a few papers and now...(abracadabra) twice as much work to do!

I recently finished a Roman Shade for the boys room thanks to Molly (my personal Home Ec Advisor). I never could have finished it on my own! Thanks Molly!

Halloween Fun!

I think Halloween is turning into one of my most favorite holidays. I mean all that candy....what could be better?! We had fun at a dress up work party on Saturday followed by a Trunk-or-Treat at the mall with some friends and Trick-or-Treating Halloween night.
