Pinewood Derby

James and Brent both enjoyed working on their first Pinewood Derby car together. They spent a lot of time in the garage putting it together. James said he wanted a skeleton and picked this design. He didn't win, but thankfully he never cares whether he wins or loses. He's always pretty content with the experience...makes it easy for me as a parent!

William's double birthday

 On his actual birthday, we made a cake and he opened his family gift...A giant Lego Star Wars ship!

 Then he had a Star Wars birthday party about a month later with his friends.

 William came up with this cake idea and Brent helped create it. It had two Lego cheering sections with Darth Maul cut in two in the middle. I should probably be disturbed, right?

Blowing out the candle. He's my comedian, my smartie, my musician, my dancer, and most importantly my hugger! I can't believe he's six!
