Entertaining Boys

I love how kids say adult phrases totally wrong. For example, I hear James say "Fire in the Hose" all the time when he's playing. One day after cleaning his room, James informed me that if a girl came into his room he was going to go "bablistic"! It cracks me up!

William's a crack up too. The other day he asked me for a cookie. I asked how many he had already had. He told me: Just one that was stuck together. (In other words...two!) I thought his answer was so smart that I gave him another one anyway!!

Sleeping Issues

We have a wandering sleeper in our house. I'm not mentioning any names, but she starts in her bed and ALWAYS ends up somewhere else...the couch, the chair in my room, James bed, my bed, William's bed, the floor, etc. Thankfully the boys are heavy sleepers so they hardly notice. William suggested after a night with the accused that he was going to give her a "verbal" for her behavior. I decided not to ask how he learned about "verbals" at school!

Kate Spotlight

I'm trying an experiment. I'm posting this from my phone with the blogger app. Lately, I've been appreciating how entertaining my kids are...if only to me. The other day I heard Kate telling William during a game of hide and seek, "I'm going to count to one and you hide." She is so funny. The other phrase she loves to say is "Who Cares?!"
Me: Kate I have a surprise for you.
Kate: Who cares?!
Me: Your friend is coming over to play.
Kate: Who cares?!
She's all girl and all attitude!

Swim Lessons

What is there to do in Phoenix in the summer? Swim. And that about sums it up. These are from the start of June during their swim lessons. They each did really well. By the end of the summer James progressed to flips off of the diving board and diving into the pool. William loves to jump off of the diving board and swim around with his goggles. Kate prefers sitting in a tube kicking around and only swims when forced to retrieve her tube from the side of the pool. Andrew prefers to be held by mom in the pool. We sure have enjoyed swimming and it saved us from the heat this summer.

First Foods

Despite the face, he became a fan of eating in the end. Maybe he's making a face because his mom made him sit in a purple chair!
