Couldn't see a thing until teacher moved it into the right position

Football
I have to post about James and football. I signed him up as a last minute thing and almost didn't do it because he had no idea how to play. The coach said he'd be fine and to sign him up and they'd teach him so I did. Everyone describes James as "serious" and I wanted him to have something other than school to help him have fun and loosen up a bit. This was THE BEST thing for him. I am not even that much of a football fan, but I have to admit I totally enjoyed watching him play. I can see he has some natural abilities with sports and it is fun to watch him grow, develop, and have fun doing it. It turns out James is incredibly fast. He has a HUGE stride and just takes off. He scored most of the team touchdowns for the season. The coaches were so positive and really helped him gain confidence through the season. As a result, we signed him up for the Winter League. He still needs to learn to catch and pull flags better so we're excited for him to continue next season. When asked if he could here me cheering for him, he said, he could ONLY hear me.
GO JAMES!!!

Baptism Day
James had a wonderful baptism. We were happy to have family and friends attend from near and far. We are very proud of his good choices and are blessed to have him in our family.

James's 8th Birthday
James had school and football practice on his birthday...rude! He did inform me that his coach said I could make him cupcakes and bring them to practice...gee thanks! Actually, it was perfect. He opened a present from us and took the cupcakes to football practice and shared them with the team. I can't believe my oldest is now 8!

Visit from Craig!!
I was so excited to find out that Craig was coming to work for a week here in Arizona. We loaded up the kids after school and met him for dinner one night that he was here. The kids were excited to see their uncle and I enjoyed my visit with him too. He brought a funny birthday card for James with a singing garden gnome that is still playing in our home today. Ironically, today is Craig's birthday...Happy Birthday!!!
