Let me start this one by reviewing a movie first. Brent and I went to go see I AM LEGEND a couple of months ago and frankly I am still traumatized from it! It has these freaky virus infested PEOPLE who want to eat normal people because they love the smell of normal people's blood. Their only downfall is that they have a physical reaction when they go into the sun or light so they live in dark places huddled together in hives. Well, ever since we saw the movie I cannot function in the dark and it doesn't help that I leave the house in the dark to go exercise. So this morning I get up and follow my usual ritual of turing on a light...turning on the next light...going back and turning off the first light...avoid the hive people lurking in the closet and around the corner...etc. This morning when I got downstairs I was horrified to find that the back door was wide open the WHOLE NIGHT! Brent and I couldn't figure out how it got open either until we asked James who finally confessed that his shadow did it. I've been pretty darn ticked about it and haven't spoken to his shadow since!

I for sure am NOT seeing that movie now! You've painted a very scary picture for me and also made me laugh because I too am a light turner on-er and then off-er after I've lighted the path before me! As for James's shadow...is he in cahoots with Peter Pan by any chance?! Too funny, and I wouldn't make up with the shadow any time soon either! Glad you all were kept safe!!!
That movie traumatized me too! That sounds really scary!!
It's all my fault. I shouldn't have recommended the movie to you. Hopefully James' shadow doesn't do anything else to scare you. I would have totally freaked too, if I found the door open!
I freak out if the door is unlocked let alone open! Definitely won't be seeing that movie...I just finished New Moon and that freaks me out enough. I was reading it the other night and we had this helium balloon in the room and it kept going up and down and coming closer to me. I grabbed it, popped it and ran downstairs where Rob was to finish reading for the night. I'm such a wimp!
What a naughty shadow! Yes, I have come to learn that I cannot handle scary movies...as fun as they are, I just never seem to get over them and usually end up lying in bed, paralyzed at night with the lights on if I watch them.
By the way... I am pregnant. Due 9/27/2008 :-)
I told my sister-in-law not to watch it last weekend but I'm scared of my shadow when it comes to any intense or scary movies, so now I feel my advice was justified. Do you avoid looking towards the windows at night too, just in case???
